Karen Albritton

Karen Albritton is president of Capstrat, a communications agency in North Carolina, US, that provides public relations, marketing, public affairs and digital services. She oversees Capstrat's operations and is a central figure in the firm's strategy, management and recruitment.

Karen has a firm grasp on the ins and outs of the communications business and a keen sense for its rapidly changing landscape. Karen has proved integral in launching new services at Capstrat – digital in 2001 and engagement marketing in 2007.

Before becoming president, Karen led the client services group at Capstrat. Prior to this she was managing director at FGI and vice-president associate media director at McKinney.

Karen has spoken on topics ranging from agency management and growth to branding and social media with groups such as the American Marketing Association, AIGA, Kenan-Flagler Business School and the Triangle Ad Club.
