Dennis Lock, originally an electronics engineer, has held successful management posts in industries ranging from miniature hearing aids to giant machine tools before becoming an external university lecturer, teaching project management to MBA and MSc students.

He has written or edited over 30 management books and is now a freelance writer. He is a fellow of the Association for Project Management, a fellow of the Institute of Management Services and a member of the Chartered Management Institute.
