Definition:

The World Trade Organization (WTO) was formed in 1995 as a result of the Uruguay Round of international trade negotiations. The World Trade Organisation replaces the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) as the legal foundation of multilateral trading, and consists of 123 countries. The World Trade Organization monitors and enforces rules of global trading.
