American Public University System (APUS) today announced that the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has certified both its undergraduate and graduate business programs offered by American Public University (APU) and American Military University (AMU).

"This recognition is truly a testament to the business curriculum and faculty assembled by Dean Chad Patrizi," said APUS President and CEO Dr. Wallace E. Boston. "We are committed to excellence in student learning outcomes as an institution, and our business programs clearly reflect that orientation."

ACBSP's mission is to establish, promote, and recognize educational practices that contribute to the continuous quality improvement of business education programs, teaching of business courses, and student learning outcomes in colleges and universities throughout the US and abroad.

"ACBSP's accreditation of our business programs certifies that our teaching and learning processes meet their rigorous educational standards," said Patrizi. "We're truly proud to have met these high standards intended to help contribute to the continuous improvement of business education."

Management programs offered by the APUS School of Management are not included in the ACBSP accreditation as APUS is currently pursuing other individual program accreditations for its degrees. Its human resources management concentration, for example, was recently recertified by the Society for Human Resource Management in April 2011.
