It can take time for firms to get access to the latest business research. But a recent open day, hosted by the executive education and organisational development department at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM), gave delegates the opportunity to gain up-to-the-minute insights into contemporary trends in learning and organisational development.
More than 50 delegates comprising HR and learning and development specialists from companies and organisations throughout the Benelux countries and beyond, attended an afternoon of thought leadership seminars, 'how-to' workshops and round-table discussions presented by RSM's top academics and staff members from the executive education and organisational development department (EEOD). They gave new insights into leadership, talent development and learning strategies.
Josette de Goede, executive director of RSM's EEOD explained: "The management of change becomes more straightforward when HR personnel have access to the latest insights and knowledge, enabling them to confidently challenge assumptions."
RSM offered more than 50 delegates a combination of lecture-style presentations on 'thought leadership' from RSM's leading academics, plus 'how-to' workshops offering practical tips, and facilitated round table sessions for HR peers to share ideas on current challenges.
"HR leaders and HR departments need to act as guides in a fast-changing world full of unexpected events and know how to create success when circumstances are unpredictable," said Josette de Goede.
"Our open day shows how connecting businesses directly with the best business academics and research at RSM, and through expertly-facilitated discussions with their peers, EEOD can help businesses to grow the tools they need to improve the capabilities of their own HR departments."
